IPM Essen 2019 premia 7 novità e 1 special

Un totale di 58 innovazioni, in otto categorie presentate da 31 espositori, hanno partecipato al premio "IPM Innovation 2019". Spiccano piante con effetto a lunga distanza, resistenti al freddo ma con colori vivaci, stelle di natale che ricordano le orecchie di Topolino che quest’anno compie 90 anni, felci effetto giungla anche in casa, arbusti con meno spine, piante per giovani principianti e per chi ama il naturale sul balcone o in giardino con piante gradite alle api. Il premio speciale con l’elegante Mandevilla Sundaville ® MiMi Yello di MPN e genetica Suntory di color albicocca, che è risultata essere molto interessante per la sua versatilità produttiva e di mercato. I premi sono stati assegnati da una commissione di esperti che alla vigilia della fiera ha valutato le innovazioni che sono state premiate in sette delle otto categorie. I certificati sono stati consegnati da Eva Kähler-Theuerkauf e la rappresentante della FIA Lea Ehlers. Anche quest'anno verrà assegnato un premio del pubblico che sarà annunciato giovedì 24 gennaio 2019.

Nella categoria Plantation and Balcony Plant si è distinto come "IPM Innovation 2019" il bracteatum Xerochrysum Granvia ® Gold dai fiori MNP. Questo strawflower ha un effetto a lunga distanza. L’innovazione sta nel fatto che i suoi grandi fiori gli permettono di essere riconosciuto a grande distanza rispetto alle altre varietà. Il grande fogliame verde offre un piacevole contrasto con il luminoso colore dei fiori. Fiorisce a lungo e in grande abbondanza. La sua crescita è ben ramificata che la rende anche molto interessante come una grande pianta solitaria. Anche se ha bisogno di molta acqua, è facile tenere in ordine perché non deve essere pulito.
The Xerochrysum bracteatum Granvia ® Gold from MNP flowers was distinguished as the "IPM Innovation 2019" in the Bedding and Balcony Plant Category. This strawflower has a super long-distance effect. Its large flowers distinguish it from other varieties and as an innovation. The great green foliage offers an attractive contrast to the bright flower colour. It blooms for a long time and in a large abundance. Its growth is well-branching which also makes it very interesting as a large solitary plant. Even if it needs a lot of water, it is easy to clean because it does not have to be cleaned out.

Nel 2019, l'ibrido Primula BELARINA 'Candy Frost' di Kientzler a Gensingen ha vinto la gara nella categoria Bloomer di primavera. Qui la motivazione è: Fiorellini resistenti all'inverno, di lunga durata e attraenti. Il "Candy Frost" aggiunge una varietà particolarmente pregiata alla gamma primula. I fiori sono bicolori, pieni e non si aprono completamente. La lunga durata in primavera promette un periodo di vendita davvero lungo. In 2019, the Primula hybrid BELARINA 'Candy Frost' from Kientzler in Gensingen won the race in the Spring Bloomer Category. Winter-hardy, long-lasting bloomers, attractive flowers. The 'Candy Frost' adds a particularly high-quality variety to the primrose range. The flowers are two-coloured, full and do not open completely. L'Euphorbia pulcherrima Christmas Mouse® di Selecta Klemm di Stoccarda ha ricevuto il premio "IPM Innovation 2019" nella categoria delle piante da fiore. Le orecchie del topo fanno la differenza, secondo Selecta. La forma delle foglie insolitamente morbida ricorda le orecchie di un topo ed è la novità di questa stella di Natale. Un marketing che punta al target mamma bambini e forse al 90 anno della nascita di Topolino Questa innovazione è un nuovo approccio mirato. Il nome è basato sulla storia del "topo di Natale". Molte persone possono raccontare storie sul Topo di Natale ®. Una nuova forma, un nuovo prodotto, un nuovo impulso per uno dei bestseller delle piante in vaso tedesche.
The Euphorbia pulcherrima Christmas Mouse® from Selecta Klemm in Stuttgart received the "IPM Innovation 2019" award in the Flowering House Plant Category. The mouse ears make the difference. The unusually soft-looking leaf shape is reminiscent of the ears of a mouse and is the new thing about this poinsettia. With children as the target group, this innovation is a targeted new approach. Nella categoria "Green House Plant", Blechnum brasiliense "Copper Crisp" di Cultivaris si è distinto come "IPM Innovation 2019". È assolutamente alla moda. Se ne riceve, si legge nelle motivazioni, la sensazione di essere nella giungla, piante verdi in tutti gli spazi abitativi e peculiarità verdi. Non importa se nel terrario, nei giardini alla moda, nel bagno o semplicemente nello spazio abitativo. L'insolita felce domestica è convincente con le sue gemme rosse e le fronde sode, estremamente increspate, verde intenso e nel tempo forma anche un piccolo gambo. Il Blechnum è una pianta tropicale e ama le condizioni di caldo protetto dal sole diretto.
In the Green House Plant Category, Blechnum brasiliense 'Copper Crisp' from Cultivaris was distinguished as the "IPM Innovation 2019". It is absolutely trendy. Jungle feeling, green plants in all living spaces and green peculiarities. No matter whether in the terrarium, in trendy glass gardens, in the bathroom or quite simply in the living space. The unusual house fern is convincing with its red buds and the firm, extremely ruched, deep-green fronds and forms a small stem over time. Blechnum is a tropcial plant and likes warm conditions protected from the direct sun.

Nella categoria Woody Plants, la commissione di esperti ha selezionato Pyracantha coccinea "Red Star" da Plantipp BV nei Paesi Bassi come "IPM Innovation 2019". Questo firethorn è accattivante con il suo straordinario colore a bacca rossa e ha meno spine del solito. L'Agazzino è una pianta legnosa sempreverde e potrebbe diventare la pianta legnosa per eccellenza per il futuro. La "stella rossa" è versatile e anche attraente come pianta da interno. Fiorisce a giugno e forma una densa base di bacche che colora a settembre e ispira le persone e gli animali con i suoi frutti fino a dopo Natale. In the Woody Plants Category, the expert commission selected Pyracantha coccinea 'Red Star' from Plantipp BV in the Netherlands as the "IPM Innovation 2019". This firethorn is captivating with its extraordinary red berry colour and has significantly fewer thorns than usual. The firethorn was THE evergreen woody plant in the drought summer of 2018 and could become the woody plant of the future. The 'Red Star' is versatile and also attractive as an indoor plant. It blooms in June and forms a dense berry base which colours in September and inspires people and animals with its fruits until after Christmas. Even the current frost should have little effect on it as it is characterised by a particular frost hardiness.

Nella categoria Perennials, la giuria ha distinto il Sempervivum Chick Charms® "Gold Nugget" di Plantipp BV come "IPM Innovation 2019". Il colore è il punto di forza. 'Gold Nugget' un fiore giallo con fogliame che in inverno ha delle sfiammature rosse. Sempervivum è una pianta per principianti, non è complicata, ha bisogno di poca cura ed è versatile. Sia in giardino, sulla terrazza o sul balcone fa buona figura. Ha bisogno di poca acqua e può essere piantata in pieno sole. Il cambiamento climatico non può danneggiarla affatto.
In the Perennials Category, the jury distinguished the Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Gold Nugget' from Plantipp BV as the "IPM Innovation 2019". The colour is the programme. 'Gold Nugget' has a yellow leaf colour with red flames in winter. Sempervivum is a beginner's plant, is uncomplicated, needs little care and is versatile. Whether in the garden, on the terrace or on the balcony: It cuts a good figure everywhere, needs little water and can be planted in the full sun. The climate change cannot harm it at all.

Nella categoria delle piante da fioriera, la commissione di esperti ha scelto Vitex trifolia "Purpurea" x Vitex agnus-asus First Edition ® "Flip Side" di Bailey Nurseries come "IPM Innovation 2019". E’ un arbusto particolarmente ricco e popolare tra gli impollinatori. Fiorisce in autunno. E’ facile da coltivare, ha buoni rami ed è facile da tagliare. È una pianta potente, ed un ottimo pascolo per le api in un giardino naturale.
In the Tub Plants Category, the expert commission decided on the Vitex trifolia 'Purpurea' x Vitex agnus-astus First Editions ® 'Flip Side' from Bailey Nurseries as the "IPM Innovation 2019". This monk's pepper is a particularly grateful shrub, popular with pollinators as it flowers well into autumn. Flip Side' is easy to cultivate, has good branches and is easy to cut. It is a powerful tub plant but also a great bee pasture in a near-natural garden.

Anche quest'anno, un'innovazione valeva un premio speciale per la giuria. Quest'anno, è la Mandevilla Sundaville ® MiMi Yello dei fiori MNP con genetica Suntory che ha vinto il premio speciale per le innovazioni di prodotto. This year too, an innovation was worth a Special Prize to the jury. This year, the Mandevilla Sundaville ® MiMi Yello from MNP flowers was the Special Prize winner for product innovations. The bright apricot is something very special and clearly stands out in the range. Its compact growth also makes it interesting as a smaller plant. It lacks the usual long tendrils for Mandevilla but has good branches and is characterised by compact growth. It has versatile uses as a bedding and balcony plant and on balconies and terraces and is also an eye-catcher as a high- quality gift. Full sun is no problem for this elegant plant and even a short drying phase is a breeze.

In Hall 1A, all plants that took part in the "IPM Innovation 2019" competition will be on display in the Innovation Showcase of the Central Horticultural Association (ZVG).
